Slow
This photo (from the top of Jacob’s ladder steps) doesn’t really represent my day a) because I spent almost the whole of the day indoors strapped to my laptop and b) because it’s a view from the top whereas most of the time it’s felt like I’m standing at the bottom of a mountain of a task making extremely slow progress in moving up it!
It’s been grim weather today…a thick haar with occasional heavier rain. It seemed a good day to push on with my Borneo blurb book but oh my goodness it was long slog! S went to the Dovecot gallery to see the Chris Offili exhibition and hear the curator’s talk and the final garden company came to do a quote but otherwise it was heads down focus on the bookmaking. I surprised both of us with how patient I was in doing it!
Luckily the weather was a tiny bit drier by the time I walked down to Regent Terrace for a leaving do. Good to see quite a few people I haven’t seen for a while and to arrange lots of coffees and lunches with various of them when I come back from my next trip.
Didn’t stay too late and S had made some broccoli pasta for when I got home. We needed to close the shutters against the dark autumnal evening and enjoyed some more Emily in Paris episodes before bed.
