But not necessarily in that order.

Today was not a good day at all; I cannot speak about what happened / failed to happen but TSM is very unhappy. Suffice to say that we were both feeling down from mid morning onwards and retreated into cleaning, jigsaw puzzles and crap TV to distract ourselves. Plus it rained most of the day again, an all pervasive mostly continuous rain that was enough to dampen the spirits on its own.

We went out for a curry very early in the evening (we were the first in the restaurant in fact) which I have to say was lovely. A place we hadn’t been to before. Excellent food and a bit of banter with the owner; the blip is our empty bowls and fully loaded doggy bags.

Ms R made an apple and pear crumble which we had when we got home and which further lifted the spirits. And a couple of beers watching tv didn’t go amiss.

Things will get better. Keep repeating: things will get better …
