Falls in Potes

We drove through the most amazing gorge today on our way to Potes (pot-es), a town in the Picos mountains. It is spectacular in every way and the weather was superb - sunny but not too hot.
We walked into the town to look round - old bridges and buildings and ancient architecture - returning later for a meal in one of the restaurants on the central square.
John is now planning the route for his mountain walk tomorrow - my plans are less strenuous.
