Greek on the Walk
I haven't posted a #leithwalkshop since the end of June, and even then it wasn't a proper Leith Walk shop, but rather one just off Leith Walk (on Jane Street). Anyway, we're entering that season again, given the patterns of my life. This is a new Greek restaurant about to open in the Red Sandstone, just along from my favourite off licence.
I worked at home today, which enabled me to intersperse some life admin amongst the work, including applying for a new passport, posting off my old passport, and doing an M&S order which will be delivered to Tain next week, after Mr A arrives up there (deliveries, where possible to Tain, are generally more reliable than in Edinburgh; sometimes, businesses won't deliver to our sort of IV postcode). I am very sad about my passport, because the new one will be a different colour....
The bus times on the app were looking pretty bizarre, but we managed to identify a Number 10 which was appropriate eventually, so headed up to the New Town and walked along to meet N and M at Cafe St Honore for a dinner to celebrate N's promotion. Lovely restaurant. We'd never been there before. It was a real treat, and we had great fun laughing and joking the evening away. It was very relaxed, and while several of the tables around us turned over twice during the evening, they left us alone and we took our time over three courses of deliciousness and quite a bit of wine. Home in a taxi for the second night running.
