Room to Roost?

I had a day off from work today to relax after a hectic weekend, and enjoy the sunshine. I went for a longish bike ride this morning before it got too hot. I passed one of my favorite dead trees and it was loaded with Starlings roosting. I've not seen Starlings in this number for quite a while. They used to be a visitor to my garden, but they seem to have disappeared recently.

After my cycle I sat outside this morning reading, and then listened to the morning play in the second Ashes Test, before making some lunch and dining al fresco.
