The Glen

Had a lovely warm, sunny walk today in a glen called, somewhat unimaginatively, The Glen, near Traquair in the Scottish Borders. Usually we haven't met anyone else on this walk, but today there were three women sunbathing by Loch Eddie where I had planned to have lunch, and we didn't feel welcome, so we went on. I took this photo looking back along our route. There were also a couple of families staying in Glenshiel Banks, a cottage just after the top of the Glen, but they were more welcoming. We had ice creams in Innerleithen after the walk, and then went to visit a friend with a new puppy, where we saw Andy Murray win the men's final. A good day indeed!
