Organ Recital

Live blipping from Rochdale Town Hall, while listening to Jonathan Scott playing the organ for the Grand Reoping Organ Concert.

The town hall has recently been restored and is an amazing building, I've blipped it a fair few times before, and links will be added to the bottom...

The organ is also amazing, world famous too. Jonathan, between pieces, is giving us an introduction to how it works and it's features. It's 32 foot pedal stop can't really be heard, but you feel it as your skeleton rattles inside you, like the stained glass does in the windows in the hall.

Also, on a personal note this building and this organ is a special place for me. Was dragged here as a child by my father and his organist pals, so sitting here today, where there is an annual concert in memory of him and my mum is always emotional.
