Three days in a row . . .
. . . of glorious sunshine!
Down to the pier for fresh fish this morning - the usual Saturday morning outing. I'd noticed a tall ship moored at the North Pier, so Mrs M dropped me off and drove home while I had a wander around taking pictures and chatting to folk.
My Blip today is the ferry 'Isle of Lewis', coming into the harbour beyond the bowsprit of the tall ship, 'Thalassa', a sail training ship built in Holland in 1980. After sinking in 1985 (!) she was recovered, refurbished and relaunched in 1995. The best view I could get of her is my extra today.
Came back for lunch to find a horrendous smell of diesel, coming from somewhere very close. We couldn't discover where, but the house was filled with it and we had a to escape and sit by the seafront to get away from it. When we returned it was much the same, so we had to shut all the windows, spray the house with aerosol and have our cuppa indoors while the sun streamed down outside! It's fading away now, but I wonder if the washing will all have to be rewashed!
