Edinburgh Island, Canada

We are currently anchored off the shore of Edinburgh Island -- a lonely spot within the Coronation Gulf, south of Victoria Island, in the Kitikmeot Region of Nunavut.

The place is uninhabited (except for Polar Bears!), and its covered with various types of tundra vegetation -- very low-growing trees, dwarf shrubs, and different types of berries.

We opted to stay on board this morning, and enjoyed a lazy time reading, catching up with email, and perusing the books in the ship's library.

This afternoon we set sail for Ulukhaktok, Canada -- a sea day's voyage from here.
