Over-ripe

Managed to catch up with shredding the hedge clippings (clippings doesn't give quite the right impression - the hedges have grown massively this year) - just in time, as rain is forecast overnight. The benefit of feeding the shredder was that, while I was collecting material along the hedge, I also noticed the red admirals feeding on the apples and the few remaining over-ripe plums. Apparently there was also a peacock, though I missed that one!
