Feisty Female Green Spider
My daughter and my online personal trainer grandson joined us for lunch as he is going back to Dubai soon. I made a high protein, fairly low calorie, lunch of deconstructed steak sandwich and Caesar salad followed by sliced blood oranges in Curacao Triple Sec. It was lovely to see him, he's so easy on the eye and smiley.
I didn't spend much time taking pics but saw this feisty female Nigma walckenaeri cribellate spider with her prey of a much bigger spider. Until 1993 these spiders were only found in London and the Home Counties. They are named after French civil servant, C.A Walckenaer who was a keen arachnologist.
