World Stone Skimming Contest

Is held every year on the island of Easdale not far from us. The weather was amazing so we travelled there for the day with friends C and S. the rules are something like this, 300 competitors from all around the world take turns to skim stones across the flooded quarry on the island. It must skip at least 3 times. The stone that goes the greatest distance wins. They have 3 tries. This year it was won by a skimmer from Ireland.

The weather was glorious and some went swimming in other locks. Dinner in the pub on the way home sitting outside. If only more days could be so good. A couple of extras of the day.
