Proud potter

We timed our visit well as today was the grand opening of Dad’s kiln. He doesn’t often fire it as he waits until he’s got enough pots made to fill it.
Anya and Max were really excited to see them and Anya tracked the temperature from the minute she woke up, announcing that it had finally cooled enough to be opened just before lunchtime.
It’s always exciting to see the pots revealed, even Dad doesn’t know how they’ll turn out so it’s a great surprise. Of course we all get to choose one to take home too! Dad wasn’t giving this one away any time soon though.
