Fresh sweetpeas

What a joy! D had a jug of these flowers in the village shop, picked from the garden of someone in the village. Donations to be put in to whichever charity box on the counter we wished. I bought two enormous bunches and put one in the kitchen and the other in the sitting room. They wont last for long as the heat will get to them in no time. We have been closing the windows and curtains in the front of the house during the day and letting the air come in from the back out of the sun. This seems to work quite well but it is supposed to be even hotter tomorrow! T and J have fans in their room at night and we have windows on two sides.

The boys have been struggling in temperatures of around 30C on the farm and our neighbours have been really generous letting all of us use their swimming pool. This really saved the day!
