There and back again

C41 Hercules

What a hot day! I got the afternoon walk, and even though it was cool in the woods, in the open it was baking. As I walked along the ridge the noise of an aircraft engine caught my attention and there flying below me was a Hercules transport plane that had just skipped over the ridge at Pilsden Pen and dropped down to a few hundred feet as it flew off along the valley. It in not that unusual to see them fly over here as there is a low level corridor in the area but I still find it exciting to see them flying so low.

I only had my 14 - 42mm lens on so it was a quick grab shot as it disappeared into the gloom. In large it looks better
