Change

Woke to another heavy haar….very depressing! After getting some gingham and other supplies to finish off the lemon curd jar for the show LE arrived and we all headed off to Greenlaw. As we went further south and over the hills the haar cleared and we were treated to a glorious day at Marchmont House open studios. Other than us all being unsuitably dressed and therefore rather too hot we had a lovely time. So good to see N in his element at his new job, explore the beautiful gardens and glasshouses, see the baking demo, explore the studios and silversmithing workshops and enjoy cakes and chips in the courtyard.
Back to A&N’s after for some cold drinks and a wander around their garden before home.
We made some jam from the plums the next door neighbour had given A and S made lemon cream linguine and some plum fool, both recipes from the book we’d bought at the cooking demo. All very tasty! We were full and pretty tired by the end of it…lovely day
