Spring Profusion……

……. Of golden Kowhai, an indigenous New Zealand plant. Lots of different varieties are flowering in native plantings along the Taylor River banks. The nectar-loving Tui birds and Bellbirds love the flowers and I saw a big fat bumble bee feasting off some early this morning.
A low key day, catching up with stuff at home. This evening I drove to the airport to pick up daughter Margaret who had flown in from Wellington. She said it was a bumpy flight. Strong winds are predicted for parts of New Zealand. Maisie was delighted to see Margaret.
