Looks Like Rain

Of course I chose today to have my car valeted. It had not been cleaned since before I went to Italy, so there was 4000 km of dirt to get rid of, inside and out.

I managed to miss the worst of the rain, but the little that did fall on my beautifully gleaming motor was like liquid sand. I shall have to stop at the car wash on the way home from school on Monday and rinse it off.

We had a pretty decent thunder storm later. It lashed, flashed and thumped for an hour or so, but I don't suppose it will make any difference at all to the drought situation.

Bruno isn't phased by thunder, which is a relief. We even went out in the rain and it was really refreshing. Everything smelled wet and fresh.

Sunny and hot forecast for the next wee while, so business as normal.

Back to work on Monday. That will be a bit of a shock to the system, but I am looking forward to it.
