Kitchen items
We cook quite a lot, as it’s healthier, cheaper and more fun, however, we don’t use (or own) kitchen scales … instead, use a dry measure cup.
It's so very old school, but works brilliantly for measuring ingredients from flour, beans, rice etc. Simple but effective. Just wondering if anyone else is as old school as us.
We do have a few kitchen utensils that are essentials, such as the cheese grater, measuring spoons and my personal favourite the mezzaluna (or half moon) chopper, which Martin refuses to use as it looks ‘lethal’ … I’ll blip it one of these days.
Anyway, the measuring cup was out as we were making American Maple fluffy pancakes with bacon and sausage, which turned out very well.
In other news, only went out for a bit to do some shopping, as it was another monotonous grey day. Martin’s working …
I hope you are having a fine day.
