Jacob and Chris

Bumped into Chris and Ben cooling down at the river. Henny joined Ben in the water and we walked along through the shade with Chris. He was telling us stories of when his kids and grandkids were young. Think he enjoyed playing with Jacob in the park, especially when Jacob insisted on holding his hand!

Jacob enjoyed a wonderful hour and a half nap when we got home, allowing me to bake a cake, prepare lunch, do a spot of tidying and even enjoy a coffee while reading a book. Must remember these easy days when Jacob has wonderful snoozes, I'm sure they are numbered.

A scorching afternoon saw us back at the river before coming home to find Stephan filling the paddling pool. We enjoyed a dip, and that cake, with Ian, George and Maureen. Stephan and I went to tesco and hung out in the freezer isle while Jacob had his dinner with Maureen and George.

Today Jacob has said "ball", "wheel" and "tesco"!! I think we go to tesco too much.
