Up in the air
Many thanks for all your love and support yesterday, despite... (But I'm quite chuffed that a humble spider got all the way to fifth third(!) spot in Popular, even if for all the wrong reasons.)
A much more acceptable image today. I've only once been up in one of these and it was utterly magical, despite my fear of heights. I must choose a special place to do it again.
Choir rehearsals started again today. We're singing Handel's Messiah, which I love, in Grenoble (November), Oxford (December) and Padua (March). Our guest conductor, Dexter Drown, who has been in charge of one of our concerts a year since he was at a local school aged 17, long before he got his 1st in music, was very clear and persuasive about how he wants us to sing it and I really appreciated his direction. I've sung Messiah twice before but as an alto. I was enjoying sight-singing the tenor line today and feeling how it fits with the rest. It's going to be such fun.
