Still life with potentilla
A bit arty this evening with my blip, but when I went out into the garden the light on the flowers reminded me of old still life paintings. I chose this potentilla to photograph in the hope it would look a little like one of those still life paintings. I think it has come out rather well. Looked at large you can see some great detail of the flower and the leaves.
This variety is Potentilla Daydawn and is a relative newcomer to the garden, only being planted last year.
Today was another hot one, which wasn't helped by having to don a suit and tie to go and do an interview for the BBC. I was a bit melted afterwards, but hopefully it went okay.
