Portobello

I've added this to my collection of coveted houses. It's in Portobello, the seaside suburb of Edinburgh, and I was there with E to do some of the Art Walk Porty. It's an annual festival where houses open to the public to display local artists' work, and there are also events and exhibitions in public spaces. This was the last house we went into and I particularly liked the paintings by Jude Nixon. 

Earlier we had gone to see ceramics by Michelle Lowe and willow basketry by Anna Liebmann, who has taken a workshop that I've done - and I'll be doing another with her later this year. Michelle doesn't do workshops, sadly. 

We also spent some time on the Promenade looking out to sea and I've got an extra of a rowing boat we watched for a while. It was pretty murky and the haar didn't lift at all today.
