Comfort

Today in church I comforted a newcomer who lost her husband very suddenly just two months ago. I am glad that we at St Luke’s were able to make her feel welcome and provide the empathy and support that she needs at a time when her grief is so raw. It was brave of her to come to our church seeking Christian fellowship from strangers. She used the same words that I said after Mum died - “I don’t know how I would cope without my faith”. For us, God is the greatest comfort. The road ahead will be so hard, but she knows we will be there for her.
