Peace Church
I slept a straight 9 hours last night…I woke in the same position I’d fallen asleep! Quite how the duvet and top sheet were falling off opposite sides of the bed and my feet were sticking out the bottom I’ve no idea!!
As I headed over to Berwick this morning there was much activity around the river…I eventually remembered a bunch of wild water swimmers were doing a swim from the Union Chain Bridge to the lifeboat station first thing this morning. I think I probably saw the first of them arriving at their destination.
After a fairly quiet morning the exhibition was very busy this afternoon and I think we’ve had about 350 visitors over the weekend…so a very successful weekend. The weather had started out grey, turned damp mid afternoon and has been positively wet this evening. Ten of us have been out for a meal this evening, it was a very convivial end to a good weekend.
The church hall we use is in much better condition than the adjoining church, the owner of which had opened the building today and a few of us had a quick peek in. She’s trying to get the place done up but having problems getting tradespeople in so it may take some time. My blip was found on the ornate curved front of the upper storey of the church…it’s obviously been a very fine building in it’s day.
