Day Eleven: Lake Bafa

A late breakfast at a restaurant on the shores of Lake Bafa, followed by a leisurely drive around the edge of the lake climbing ever higher until we reached the hamlet of Kapikiri and the ancient site of Heraklion nestled in extremely rural Turkey with a lot of donkeys munching scrub. We stopped several times for 'photo opportunities' in the absolutely searing heat which was easily around 40C. The photo doesn't show just how oven hot it was. Late afternoon and early evening was spent recovering in the pool.
