Over the Alps

A 4am alarm call was necessary this morning, as the Coach picked us up from our Hotel at 5.15am for the 3 1/2 hour transfer to Verona Airport. I managed a further hour's sleep on the coach. Took off at 11.15 for Newcastle, over cloud, which remained most of the flight - except when we were flying over the Alpes - the lens on my phone wasn't good enough in tele mode to shoot the Matterhorn, though we had wonderful views of it. But I did get a few shots of glaciers and mountain lakes.


Arrived back in Keswick about 4pm, always sad to leave Italy, but great to be home - and Stevie was particularly happy to see us.
