Favourite trees

I had quite a few things on my to-do list today but I have managed to get get most of them ticked off. Firstly I had a long walk with Xena in the woods today, these are the Princes Coverts woods accessed from the bottom of the hill where we live and I never saw anyone else there today, it is always so peaceful walking there. I love these old trees there, especially the gnarly one which is a favourite of mine.

I had grocery shopping to do and also went to another shop to buy cards for our anniversary that is coming up and a birthday. I am hosting book club at our house tomorrow and so I planned what to serve and then also bought what I needed for that.

When I got home, I prepared as much as I could for book club tomorrow, and then also made a huge pot of chilli for supper tonight with enough to also do for supper tomorrow night, as I won't be able to cook supper. I have been invited to play golf with some of the ladies in my group tomorrow, so that is why I need to get as much done as possible today.

Xena had another walk in the late afternoon and it was lovely and sunny after a rather dull day.

I must now get going as I have camera club tonight - it's another member's evening where some members are discussing the story behind some of their images.
