Animal, Vegetable Or...

S's Aunt has an apple tree in her garden. The tree fruits well but, sadly, her Aunt is allergic to the fruit so gives it away to whoever can use it.

Today I was given three carrier bags of fallers - I took one for myself and two are offered to a local small business who makes preserves.

Most are bruised to a greater or lesser extent, some have broken skin, so I sorted out the worst to stew straight away. Among them I found this delightful formation so, of course, posed it for my blip.

I think it will be the last to go into the pan.
