Burn

The birthday boy is a boardgamer (and, we've learnt, a serious bridge player), and a cake had been brought along by another guest.  

Cake-topper suppliers know, of course, that there are only three boardgames in the world, Monotony, Cluedo, and ... "That one with the twirly thing...".  

Cluedo would have at least been on topic for the weekend :o)

Cake tasted good anyway.
