Beauty-bush Kolkwitzia amabilis

Knitting group this morning and we were only two until Luke turned up. He wanted to sew his failing rucksack straps up and learn to knit. So we helped him with his sewing and he says he will be back next week with his needles and wool to learn to knit.
I caught a bus to the park and it was rather colder than late. I saw this flowering bush hiding away. The perfume of the flowers was lovely. The app flora incognita says it’s a Beauty-bush originally from China.
I didn’t stay too long.

p.s. The summerhouse was painted with waterproofing on the outside today and no rain. Fabulous job done by my daughter.
