Monday
A north westerly breeze put a slight chill into the air this morning as Dippy and I counted the livestock and headed out for our morning charge about across the fields with mum and dad Bella and Reggie, grandma Tess (not in this photo) and old uncle Patch. I was pleased not to feel any ill effects from yesterday’s triathlon and I was able to walk around the hills and bumpy trails without any traces of pain or discomfort.
Chickens, peacocks and dogs fed and watered it was time for a warm drink and hot buttered toast in the farmhouse kitchen glowing with warmth from the aga.
N and I sat down and discussed some positive thoughts about the present and the future here on the campsite before chatting with the residents present here on site.
T and S arrived back home from a night away and we had some more useful discussions about how to make the site even more attractive and sustainable.
Some fresh layers pellets arrived which provided some wonderful sounds from all of our feathered friends here at Treyhill.
I created a spaghetti bolognese for everyone which went down well especially with E and F who seem to have settled back into their school after the summer break.
H and I popped down to the local Inn for rehydration and some pigswill (for the athletic honkers back at Treyhill) an early night beckoned after a short chat with T, M and H.
Zzzz
