Steaming pans

It is getting cold now so I had to put a jacket on going down to the market. The pans were steaming away with paella, boles de picolat and other dishes. James and Peta asked me to hit a few balls with them before lunch and then I set about making various things work on a new iPad. The old one gave up the ghost when the operating system could no longer be updated and new apps could no longer be installed.. That sort of built-in obsolescence is annoying. Of course getting the new iPad working was not straightforward. One of the banking apps would not allow a login and I spent half the afternoon on the phone trying to get it sorted out. Eventually, the problem has gone to a back office team, I complained and they will try and sort out the problem in the next few days. It is a problem when companies rebuild the apps which are then full of bugs. This is the second major issue I have had with Santander. That other issue goes back to May and still has not been resolved, but they did send me some money after a complaint as a sweetener. I also have to tell them that my card has expired and I have not received a new one. There should be one has been sent. That may be a postal issue. Since Brexit, we have had several items that have never arrived from the UK.
