Cologne Day 2.

We walked over the bridge this morning ( with many thousands of love locks) to the go to the top of the tower with magnificent views across the city. The love locks cover every inch of the railings, with no room to add any more. People have become creative by adding bicycle chains and people are now using these to add their locks. It’s quite some sight. ( We did not add a lock….)

This afternoon we went here: https://www.cologne-tourism.com/arts-culture/sights/detail/ns-documentation-center

We spent nearly three hours with an audio guide and didn’t get round it all. It was fascinating and really well put together.

The main picture shows some of the graffiti from the detention cells. Heartbreaking.

There are a few extras.

here worked Lina Wolf (born Levi in 1872)
deported 1942 to Theresienstadt
murdered 19.9.1942 in Treblinka
