Neòinean-gréine

No sun today - the weather is a distinct from that at the weekend - and so here is a sunflower instead; one of two that I managed to grow this year. 

I went for a swim this morning which I really enjoyed and had my local bookgroup this afternoon - good discussion on book followed by general chat. 

We'd been reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I hadn't read it before (nor The Kite Runner) ) but am glad to have read it now. It was well written  and thought provoking and especially poignant given what is currently happening to women in Afghanastan.
