Lathom Chapel

I met my SiL Alison for lunch. I drove the country route to the garden centre. I passed a sign for Latham Chapel last week so decided to stop and have a look today. One notice board called it the ancient chapel of St John the Divine another gave the date AD1500. In the grounds was a stone called Cromwell's stone in the extra. The plaque says the hollows in the stone are said to have been used for casting shot used by Cromwell's army in the siege of Latham House 1644-45. I'm off to Arizona to stay with friends next February. I've bought the tickets today after chatting to a travel agent, it was cheaper for me to get them online than through her. She gave me good advice so I've also applied for the ESTA.
