Harvestman's Footwork

I've seen this harvestman on the ivy bush in the same position for quite a few days running. My shot of it isn't that great but I wanted to feature a harvestman before the harvest is a dim and distant memory.

Harvestmen are arachnids but not spiders. Another reason I've chosen this image is because it shows one of the creature's prehensile feet. See how its foot is gripping the ivy bud. They get their scientific name Opilones from the Latin word opilio, which means shepherd. This derives from how they resemble European shepherds of old walking on stilts to get a better view of their flocks.

PS A blipsnap with Hanulli. :)
