The Urban Village

Did a job in Denton Holme today which bills itself as the Urban Village in the heart of Carlisle. However it is a village without a pub - my Camra contact described it as a "dry village".

The story was a complaint about the amount of rubbish left along the river banks. It was another warm day but it was nice to get out of the office and see the situation for myself. I think this bottle floating on the water summed up the story. (apparently it was not too bad rubbish-wise and the weekends are worse!)
