Autumn's here

Kashmir rowan (Sorbus cashmiriana) glowing in the sunlight in the garden this afternoon, despite the vicious gusts of wind that threatened it.  I grew this from seed which I'd gathered from the lawns of some ornamental garden we visited years ago, so it's quite pleasing to find such trees now sell for £60-70.  The extra shows Sorbus aucuparia Joseph Rock in another area of the garden, with its bunches of yellow berries not yet eaten by the birds.
