"Silver Anniversary"...

is the name of this beautiful white rose. It was a present from my good friend marchmont in July 2000, the year hubby and I reached our half centuries and celebrated both this and twenty-five years of married life with a big "125 not out" party. His birthday is coming up next week. No big celebration this year as we're still recovering from the wedding bash a few weeks ago, but I am beginning to think about another party in a couple of years when he reaches another major milestone!

I had thought it would be a grandchildren blip today but my day did not turn out as planned so it's back to the garden again. There's certainly plenty to choose from there this year. Could get used to this kind of summer!
