Sunflowers

I didn't know we grew sunflowers commercially in Cumbria until this week when a couple of the people I follow blipped these ones.

I had a morning appointment at the Dermatology Clinic in Carlisle so it seemed like a good idea to have lunch in the city then go along to  Crummock Bank Farm near Waverton to see the sunflowers and get a blip.

Unfortunately it was extremely windy today and the entrance to the field was at the back of the sunflowers so to get the flowers we had to walk down the field. I only went half way as I didn't want Kanyl to feel he had to walk too far.

We finished the afternoon with a cup of coffee in Wigton. It was nice of the man in the kiosk in the field to have drink-making facilities but it was just too cold and windy to sit out on the benches drinking it.
