Those were the days...
Johhn Fowler, former Arts editor of The Herald, and myself in the Leighton library Dunblane.
(John and I worked on the Glasgow Herald, as it was in those days, and we have very happy memories of our time there).
John and his wife Catherine were in Dunblane visiting my exhibition, "The Real and the Unreal" dealing with artificial intelligence, the new tool available to artists , and Covid in Dunblane museum.
Afterwards we popped across the road in to see the Leighton library the oldest private library in Scotland built in 1687.
This has recently been refurbished and makes for a fascinating visit especially for folk interested in old books and the history of Scotland.
Do check it out if you are in the area and have not been in since it reopened.
