Horse Ride

With the temperate rising and very little shade in the campsite, we headed off to pick some fresh strawberries. As lunch was approaching we decided to stop off at a ford for a picnic on the way back.

And what a great decision it was.

While the picnic was set up the kids were taken to play in the cold water of the ford. Then it was long before all the visitors started to wander by - 3 horses and riders stopped to go swimming further down the ford, numerous dogs and owners walked past and there where also a couple of cyclists!

Then the horses came back, and a surprise for the kids - they could have a ride. So J jumped on and held them! CJ had been fascinated by the horses, his eyes not leaving them while they were net the picnic site - but he was a little unsure about riding one...
