Heron

Today's blip was going to be a union jack coloured hippo (no I jest not!) or a multi-coloured 'grommet', until our son suggested a heron hunting trip this evening. And as you can see we found one, or more accurately two since there was a white one in the tree above this chap.

He nearly got usurped by a very low flying Apache helicopter which flew in a wide circuit from Fairford as we walked round the lake, and produced a very nice silhouette shot against a yellow sky, but nature won over man-made today. Tomorrow, or Saturday may be a different story.
