Samlesbury Hall

I went with my blip friend Thrika to Samlesbury Hall where we met up with blippers rower2012 and Paladian. Despite the cold,  and the wet weather,  we had a great day out. We spent a lot of time inside the hall and in the cafe.


According to the website the hall dates back to 1325 .It was a private residence until 1925. It has a chequered history which includes religious persecution, fortunes made and lost, witchcraft and murder. One of the rooms is said to be haunted.
