a journey of life

Predjama castle

This farmhouse provided us with an exceptional breakfast.
A few teething issues with the car - this Toyota insists on beeping for any change in speed and opening and closing windows was not easy.

Predjama Castle - the world’s largest cave castle was definitely worth the journey. Built at the mouth of a cave in 1270 and extended over the next 300 years, it was spectacular.

We then drove to the caves. To access the caves you take a little train and then walk through caverns of stalactite and stalagmites before reaching the Olms - baby dragons or proteus - almost extinct.

Dinner tonight was at the totally delightful pizzeria minutka. Delicious!
