Black Mill

The weather was lovely this morning and we went to Burton Constable Hall. We enjoyed a walk around the grounds and a drink in the cafe. The wind was rather cool though so we returned to our house for a picnic lunch. 

After lunch the predicted rain hadn't arrived so we went to investigate the black mill. We could see the rain approaching from the distance but thought we could walk to the mill and back. As we approached the mill the wind got stronger and we were only part way back when the rain AND hail hit us, it was quite painful and we were soaked when we got back to the car.

We did stop at St Mary's church on the way back. It was special as it was the place mum's parents got married in 1927. After going home and getting dry S and I went back out for a walk through the town, as far as the minster. Unfortunately we were five mins from the house when another rain storm hit and we got soaked again.
