I set an alarm to get me up at 08:30, and it was a joy to walk Django in the Estate. He's happy to have the rubber baseball that I brought back from Boston. It's a bit bigger and heavier than the balls I'm used to throwing, and I could feel it in my arm after yesterday.
The only downside of taking a longer walk was that I had to listen to my incoming PhD student Y's final MSc viva on the bus (using headphones). She did well, and I'm looking forward to her joining the team (again) at the end of September.
In work, I attended a seminar where three members of the HiGHS team - plus researcher J in their HiGHS tee-shirt packed a corner of the room. It's going to be good when И and Y are also in Edinburgh!
Afterwards, I had a catch-up meeting with И. I had to find a booth for it because developer F was in the office - the one downside of having a shared office!
I managed to do a little programming before returning home, where A had cooked an excellent casserole. She went out for the evening and, after a nap, I took Django out.
