Ambush

A small pike playing a waiting game, hidden in a weedbed, for some unsuspecting small fish to cross it's field of view.

The Tiverton Canal is full of these mini-monsters - I've never seen so many 'baby' pike - occasionally disturbing the peace and quiet as they take a swipe at another shoal of rudd or roach.
