Doctor Pandammonium

Today, I graduated with a PhD from the University of Essex. (You may remember my first photo here was a picture of my bound thesis.)

My gown was black with maroon sleeves; my hood was red with a maroon taffeta lining; my bonnet was black with a maroon tassel.

I admit to enjoying swanning around in my fancy attire, and was quite sad to hand it back at the end of the day.

I should note that I didn't actually take this photo. If that's cheating, then so be it. It's an important day in my life, which I would like to save.
